Help Wanted

These "jobs" allow you to help and still participate in the events!  Many hands make light work.  We appreciate you!  Willing to take on one of these tasks?  Email Elena at e.arnold032@gmail.com.  State your name and which job you are willing to help with.  The event, tournament, and clinic committee will be in touch when we need help. Tournament and Event set up

  • Frequency: about 6-8 times per year (you may not be needed for all of them)
  • Job Duties: Set up tables, canopies, fill coolers, hang banners
  • Arrive one hour before tournament starts
  • Set up usually takes up to one hour
  • Must be able to lift roughly 25 pounds

Tournament and Event tear down

  • Frequency: about 6-8 times per year (you may not be needed for all of them)
  • Job Duties: Tear down tables, canopies, clean out coolers, pack up cars
  • Arrive 45 minutes before tournament ends
  • Tear down usually takes up to one hour
  • Must be able to lift roughly 25 pounds

Sam's Club Pick Up and Delivery

  • Frequency: about 6-8 times per year
  • Job Duties: Install Sams Club app, arrive on time (car will be loaded for you), keep items until delivery at event venue
  • Drop off items at event venue about one hour before start time
  • Note: All items will be bought and paid for online by EPPA prior to pick up 

Tournament and Event Registration Table

  • Frequency: about 6-8 times per year (you may not be needed for all of them)
  • Job Duties: Greet people at the entrance to events and check them in online (if needed)
  • Point out where they can put there belongings, where bathrooms are (if applicable), where the courts are located
  • Will need to arrive 45 min- 60 min. before the event starts for early-comers
  • Can leave after everyone is checked in

Instructor for Beginner Players

  • Frequency: Varies by need
  • Job Duties: teach players the basic rules, shots, court positioning for pickleball
  • Clinics/lessons usually take 1-2 hours 
  • Expectation: you must shadow or train with Sherry, Elena, or Andre before representing EPPA as an instructor
