Starting the week off with some positivity, Church of the Cross would like to thank all of the pickleball players who helped out with their yearly rummage sale. This year's sale benefited the people of Ukraine and Erie's Embracing our Veterans.
For those of you new to the EPPA, Church of the Cross (under the supervision of EPPA member Don Wolfe) generously lets pickleball players use the three courts in their gym during the winter and other days with inclement weather. COTC indoor hours are Monday- Friday usually starting at 8:30 am and running for a couple of hours. The best way to follow COTC's schedule is to ask another member to add you to the Group Me thread.
Speaking of Church of the Cross...a BIG thank you to Mark Soukup, John Fitzgerald, Craig Mackelvey, Jack Benson, and Don Wolfe for laying out and marking several pickleball courts at Westwood Racquet Club. This will allow for even more pickleball court availability in future shootouts. These men were paid for their time and decided to donate that money back to COTC in appreciation of their willingness to let us use the gym on weekday mornings. I can't say enough how supportive and giving our pickleball community is! Best group of people around.

Recent Purchases
The EPPA is always looking for ways to grow and support pickleball and pickleball facilities in our area. Money was spent recently on :
- two portable nets to be used for trainings and tournaments
- wooden benches that will be installed at Baldwin Park after the completion of the new courts
- the sponsorship of the Erie Pickleball Players Association's Pickleball Tree coming soon to AHN's Festival of the Trees

Tuesday: 10/25 - FREE OPEN PLAY - 10am to noon
Wednesday: 10/26 - FREE OPEN PLAY- 10am to noon
Thursday: 10/27 - FREE OPEN PLAY-10am - 1pm & 5pm - 7:30pm
