Exciting new additions

We are always working to provide EPPA members with more pickleball playing opportunities.  We genuinely appreciate your feedback and try our best to get you court time for all levels of play.  With that being said- here are some VERY exciting additions to the schedule and some of our local pickleball facilities.

Westwood Racquet Club

Westwood is always excited to work with the EPPA and the recent clinics hosted there have been a huge success.  Being dedicated to growing the sport of pickleball is a top priority, so Westwood is offering these NEW upcoming events:
  • Beginners Clinics on Sundays December 4, 11, 18th.  6-7pm led by pro Matt Johnson.  Come learn the rules of pickleball and get some practice in!  You now must register for the beginners clinics using the Court Reserve app.  CLICK HERE and scroll down to see the directions about signing up for Court Reserve.
  • Beginners Open Play every Wednesday from 1-2:30 pm.  You will have court time designated for those newer to the game.  $5 for Westwood Members, $8 for non-members.  Sign up on Court Reserve and check it out!

NEW!!!!!  

  • Westwood is now offering open play on Friday nights from 6-8 pm starting THIS Friday, November 18.  
    • There will be FOUR courts running.  Two for beginners and two for Intermediate and up.
    • $10 for Westwood members, $15 for non-members
    • Limited to 10 beginners and 10 intermediate (and up) to insure lots of play time
    • You MUST pre-register on the Court Reserve app to secure a spot.  No walk ins allowed if the spots are full.
  • Saturday open play will still be running from 9-11 am.  Pre-register on Court Reserve.
  • If you would like to see another Intermediate Clinic, please respond to this email and we will schedule more in early December if the interest is there.  This is mostly skills, drills, and practice games for 1.5 hours.

Glenwood YMCA

The Glenwood YMCA has been home to several EPPA pickleball players and it's time to add some beginners lessons into the mix!
  • Beginners lessons on Thursdays at the Glenwood YMCA 12:30-2:00pm in the Gilmore Gym. Starting THIS Thursday, November 17 and led by EPPA's own Sherry Elchynski!  Free to YMCA members, all equipment will be provided.  Will offer foundational knowledge and skills to get you going in the sport of pickleball.

Erie Sports Park

Updated hours for the Erie Sports Park gym can be found by CLICKING HERE!  Find your favorite group of players and book your court today!  Open play may be returning soon, as well as pickleball clinics and tournaments.  We will bring you the latest news and developments as we have them.
