Soup-er Bowl

Thanks to all of our members who supported our Soup-er Bowl 2023 event.  A special thanks to Westwood Racquet Club for letting us take over the courts AND almost every electrical outlet in the club to accommodate our THIRTEEN soup contenders. There was quite a spread- not only delicious soups, but several appetizer and desserts!  Obviously the food was needed to fuel the hours of pickleball.

The WINNER of the Soup-er Bowl competition was Carolyn Kacprowicz with her "Italian Meat Soup".  Carolyn was awarded a gift card and chocolates for her hard work.  Honorable mentions go out to: Brittany Arrigo's "Unstuffed Pepper Soup", Rodney Lindsey's "Chili (#2)", and Kathy Sertz's "Panera Kopy Kat Cream of Chicken and Wild Rice Soup".

The 50/50 raised $141 and the winner was.... Rodney Lindsey! In true Rodney fashion, he generously donated his split back to the Erie Pickleball Player's Association.  THANK YOU, Rod!

Boxes full of canned soup (as well as monetary donations) were collected for the Erie City Mission.  Thanks again to all for your generosity.

Lastly, a HUGE kudos to all of our volunteers who helped with set up and tear down.  We left Westwood sparkling clean and all of your efforts are much appreciated.
