Hi all, me again! I wouldn't have to send so many messages if things slowed down for the Erie pickleball world, but we don't want that. So buckle up for even more EPPA emails.
Friday, June 30 at 10 am
- Put this on your calendar. Make no plans, call off work, cancel appointments! Do what you need to do to be at Baldwin Park at 10 am for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Many employees and representatives from the City of Erie will be there. Let's show up and display our appreciation for having this beautiful pickleball venue in our city. Neighbors- invite other neighbors, even if they do not play pickleball yet. Time to pack the park!
- Players can play before and after the actual ribbon cutting, which will be quick!
Other reminders:
- Saturday, June 24 is Double Doubles Donut Day. Fingers crossed for a dry morning! You DO NOT need to sign up or have a partner. This is not a competition. Show up to Baldwin Park or Zuck Park, rotate in with other pickleball loving friends, and have some FUN. Refreshments will be served up between 9:00-11:00 am. Have a friend new to pickleball? Bring that person so he/she can see what the EPPA is all about. We are very grateful to our generous sponsor, Tim Hortons.
- Sunday, June 25 will be our very first shootout at Baldwin Park! The Senior Rotating Round Robin.
-
66 years old and up: 24 players with a start time of 1:00 pm
-
55-65 years old: 24 players with a start time will be 4:00 pm
- If you aren't playing, we would love to have you come cheer on your friends!
All six courts will be used for this event, so no other play will be allowed at Baldwin Park on Sunday afternoon/evening.
