Today was a day for EPPA! We celebrated National Pickleball Day, participated in our very first Erie Gives Day, and held our biggest event yet- Taco Tuesday. We appreciate every member who supports us. Our membership is at our highest yet...but so are our renewals. When you renew for another year, that shows that you are happy with your membership and we do not take that lightly!
Tonight was a show of our genuine appreciation to our members. We packed the courts at Zuck Park. Millcreek Township has worked with us step by step in getting Zuck up and running and they generously let us use the park tonight to throw our party! The supervisors, as well as Ashley and Scott with Parks and Recreation, showed up and were ecstatic to see the support from EPPA.
We have an amazing events committee AND team of volunteers who planned the event, set up, tore down, registered guests, and served food. Thank you to Julio and Mambo- can you come play every time we step on the courts? Amazing! There is just something to be said about music and pickleball. Dan Reese, who performed while Mambo took a break, you were incredible. It's so fun to see our members shine on and off the courts.
Sontheimer's Bakerydonated a massive amount of cookies, thank you for our sweet treats after we indulged in our tacos! Let's talk about those tacos... El Amigo not only gave us a huge spread for a very fair price, but they also threw in the queso, beans, veggies, and delivery for FREE! It's always nice to support local businesses- keep both of these places in mind for future purchases.
It was great seeing new faces and seasoned players all mixing in together, eating, laughing, dancing, and sharing a love for pickleball. If you missed this event, we will see you at the next one. THANK YOU all!
