Baldwin Park was buzzing with energy this weekend. Beautiful weather, competitive games, supportive spectators- EXACTLY what pickleball is all about! EPPA prides ourselves on filling brackets and getting matches played with very little wait time. The ONLY way we can do this is by having amazing players sign up and recruiting an absolute dream team of volunteers.
While so many people pitched in to set up canopies, run registration, fill coolers, break down and load up supplies... three people were there all day Saturday AND Sunday and your service is very much appreciated. Amy Stanahan, Shelley Haefner, and Mike Arnold- get some sleep tonight as Andre and I asked for lots of help and could not have done this without you!
We are truly lucky to have our local pickleball venues. Our Memorial Shootout honorees paved the way for us and we hope that they were smiling down on EPPA's biggest tournament to date! This weekend we remembered:
- Helen Pappas
- Don Brie
- Jim Whitford
- Judy Shaprio
- Janie Martin
Erie News Now was kind enough to feature our shootout on the local news, which can be
viewed here.
Our organization is proud of the sportsmanship and level of play this weekend. Players took time out of their day/days to travel from near and far to battle it out at Baldwin Park. After two days of hard fought competition, the results are in. Please
