Last night's Tacos and Tunes was really something special. People enjoyed pickleball, a fantastic catered dinner from El Amigo, delicious cookies from Sontheimer's Country Bakery, and the amazing music provided by EPPA's own Julio and MAMBO.
Our community is growing! There were several new faces last night and we are very excited to show you what EPPA is all about. We try to offer something for everyone- social events, competition, and education. YOU are the heart of EPPA and we could not do this without your support.
Last year we packed Zuck Park with 150 players and we smashed that record this year with a whopping 175 (plus a couple more)!
BIG THANKS to Millcreek Township for donating the courts and pavilion for our use. They also spent part of the day readying Zuck for our arrival. Ashley, the director of Parks and Rec, told me that WE were their top priority yesterday and that really says something about the relationship that we have developed with Millcreek.
A huge amount of gratitude goes to our events committee and volunteers who organized, set up, tore down, served food, and did whatever needed to be done to host almost a couple hundred players. That is no small task and we definitely can't do this without you.
We LOVE working with El Amigo- so easy to communicate with and they went above and beyond with their delivery. The Sontheimer family graciously donated 400 cookies, in addition to ALWAYS being there for EPPA and pickleball in general. Please support these local businesses if you can.
We humbly ask you to consider supporting EPPA on Erie Gives Day, Tuesday August 13. We make the most of your membership dues and would ensure that every dollar raised is put towards growing and supporting pickleball in our area! The link does not open until 8/13, but here it is so you can be ready when the day arrives: EPPA Erie Gives 2024
Thank you for being the BEST pickleball community!
