EPPA hosted a thirty player clinic on Saturday, January 24 at Around the Post. Due to Around the Post donating all of the courts and every instructor volunteering his/her time- EPPA was able to offer this for FREE! There was a huge response, so we hope to host more in the future.
Andre Francis did the planning and the clinic consisted of three stations, each focusing on a different skill. Station 1: "Aggression" practiced overheads and drives, Station 2: "Patience" offered drills on resets and dropping from the transition zone, Station 3: "Fast Hands and Good Strategy" worked on paddle positioning and shot selection.
In addition to Andre, a HUGE thank you goes out to these nine instructors who took time out of their weekend to help the EPPA Community. Station 1 Coaches: Landon Williams, Rick Seibel, Jamin Bookhamer. Station 2 Coaches: Elena and Mike Arnold, Nina Siggia. Station 3 Coaches: Paul Young, Jeremy Spaeder, Bill Wozniak.
Thanks to all participants for a positive attitude and willingness to learn! We did suggest to the attendees to consider a donation to the ANNA Shelter in honor of Aimee, the puppy who was found this week in very poor condition in freezing temperatures. Despite all of the efforts by the teams of volunteers and vets, Aimee sadly did not make it. We got many generous donations and a total will be shared once the money is taken to the ANNA Shelter.
