April is National Pickleball Month! Across the country world, pickleball continues to explode in popularity! Here in Erie, we’re proud to have built a welcoming, energetic, and inclusive pickleball community where players of all levels can connect and grow. This month, we celebrate our playerswho make Erie one of the best pickleball communities around.

One way to celebrate National Pickleball Month is to keep YOU playing healthier and longer. Gannon is hosting a free Pickleball Injury Prevention Event. This is perfect for our members! Check out all the details below ⬇️

The event is scheduled for April 12th, 2026 at the Gannon Recreation and Wellness Center (4th street). It will run from 12-5 pm. Participants will not need to be there for the entire duration, just their time slot. Participants can expect a 40-minute commitment. The QR code in the flyer or link in this email can be utilized to sign up.
What to expect:
Participants will be taken through a battery of tests by physical therapy students under the supervision of physical therapy faculty.
Participants will receive their own report card on their performance
Participants will receive personalized recommendations to improve their performance and tips to reduce injury risk
What we need: Participants! This event is free and open to all. We want to make sure everyone has a great pickleball season. We are planning to make this an annual event, and getting off to a great start is our goal. Sign up link
