Thank you!

Today's pickleball Open House at Westwood Racquet Club was a BIG success.  Personally, my favorite part was seeing so many long time members mingling with all of the newcomers!  We had several players new to the area and even fresh to the pickleball scene.  We appreciate all of our renewing members and new members.  Welcome to the best pickleball organization around (I may be a little biased, but still true).  We are all about bringing people together and growing the sport in our region!

THANK YOU to Tom P. at Westwood for opening on a day off AND for letting us stay an extra hour, also to Tim Hortons for donating the delicious donuts and muffins, and to all who attended!  If you are still thinking about joining Westwood, stop in after they open (on September 6) or give them a call at (814) 838-3008.  Also, feel free to respond to this email if you have further questions and I will get you an answer.

Speaking of reaching out- if you would like to play in the Helen Pappas Memorial Tournament on Sept. 9-10 but do not have a partner, respond to this email and we will do our best to pair you up.  However, we need some time! If you want to play and need a partner, please ask by this Thursday, Sept. 1st. Many divisions are filling quickly.  Ladies, we see you killing it on the courts, sign up and have some fun with friendly competition!

One last exciting update on court construction- Baldwin is still moving full steam ahead.  Go see the progress if you have not!  There are also three courts being lined at Picnicana Park (9150 Old French Road Waterford, PA 16441).  The asphalt is settling and will be lined soon.  This will be a fantastic venue for pickleball picnics and gatherings due to access to multiple picnic pavillions.  The EPPA was the driving force behind both of these projects!  Without your support, we would not be able to push for court expansion in our area.  So like I said in the beginning of this long message- THANK YOU!
