More than pickleball

Our association is all about bringing people together- and not just on the pickleball courts.  Two EPPA members, Ichabod (Doc) Jung and Jim Cairns ran into other in Greece of all places!  They coincidentally met at the Sanctuary in Asklepios, a theater  erected in 400 BC and still used today.  They forgot their paddles or they would’ve put on a show for the crowd.  Looks like a pretty great place for a pickleball court, doesn't it?

Back in Erie, the first Saturday pickleball open play at Westwood was a BIG success!  Many competitors filled four courts for two hours of solid play (actually a little longer because most players didn't want it to end).  Some weeks we will have all 4 courts, and some weeks we will have two.  PLEASE book in advance via Court Reserve or call Westwood at 814-838-3008 to snag your spot! This helps immensely with planning.

As far as outdoor play goes, thanks to the Kahkwa club for hosting todays open house!  The beautiful designated pickleball courts drew in so many players.  Great weather, fierce competition, and lots of laughs- talk about a Sunday Funday.
