While most of our posts revolve around life on the pickleball courts, this is a great opportunity to participate in a program that can help improve your overall health! While this is in no way EPPA related there are two huge perks that we feel will be beneficial to our EPPA members. Perk One- the course is led by Renee Majchrzak, a huge part of the EPPA board and family who is fun, knowledgable about all things healthy, and genuinely cares about everyone who crosses her path. Second perk-it's completely free!
Read on for more info and see the bottom of this post for some competitive play reminders.
REDEFINE YOUR HEALTH | TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE
Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a 12-month evidence-based behavior change program aimed at reducing your risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. Program led in a small group setting facilitated by a certified coach. A new session is starting in April, led by EPPA board member Renee Majchrzak, and you are invited to participate. As a participant in the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program, you will take 25 classes over the course of a year surrounded by a group of supportive people with common goals who care about your well-being.
Participants also receive a free one-year YMCA membership. There is no cost to participate in the program. If you are serious about getting healthy and changing your lifestyle, sign up online at
ymcaerie.org. Meetings will take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30pm, beginning April 16th at C3 Church in Harborcreek. For more information, feel free to reach out to Renee at
