These last few days have been a busy blur for EPPA volunteers and members and we aren't done yet!  

Urban University partnered with EPPA and Around the Post to offer 14 eager youth players the opportunity to develop their pickleball skills in a week long clinic.  Students enrolled not only received an EPPA sweat towel and exceptional instruction from certified instructors, but each student was also presented with a brand-new Diadem paddle—a remarkable gift valued at $250.

These paddles were made possible through funds raised during last year’s Erie Gives campaign, with the intentional goal of introducing more young people to the exciting sport of pickleball. What an incredible investment in the next generation!

Pickleball is so much more than a game—it promotes fun, healthy activity, friendly competition, and meaningful relationships. EPPA has built an outstanding community around this sport, and we are honored that our students have had the opportunity to experience it firsthand.

Many of these youth players participated in our Memorial Shootout at Baldwin Park and got to show off all that they learned!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made our Memorial Shootout such a success. One out of town participant commented that EPPA runs "the Wimbledon of tournaments" and that was quite a compliment.

To our incredible volunteers- thank you for giving your time, energy, and countless hours behind the scenes. Events like this can't happen without you.

To our 84 players who competed over two days- thank you for bringing your competitive spirit, sportsmanship, and incredible rallies that kept everyone entertained all weekend.

To our spectators- thank you for packing Baldwin Park and creating such an amazing atmosphere. Your cheers and support made every match even more special.

We couldn't have asked for better weather, better competition, or a better pickleball community. Thank YOU for making this weekend one to remember.
